Cappuccino pleats and mint

My pleats are not exactly cappuccino, but perhaps a shade close to it.
Anyway they are great :) and I love them.
Not to mention that buying this skirt was quite a bargain :)
God, I'm lucky when it comes to buy clothes :)
I paid approx 5 Euros for it.

Another item I adore is the bag - I had my eyes on it even before it was on sale,
but it was kinda pricey so I just lingered at it through the window.
Imagine my surprise when I saw it on sale - and it was the last one half the price.
I couldn't believe my eyes :)
Hope you like these items too :)

My wedding dress - story and preview

My wedding dress is almost ready and I'm very happy :)
I took some pictures while I was trying it on,
but it's not ready - the length of it is not yet adjusted.
I altered a bit the pictures because I didn't like the background :)
What I can tell you is that the colour is not pure white - it's a buttery white :)

Just like my civil ceremony dress, the wedding dress is my idea
and I'll tell you what got me inspired.
First of all I wanted to buy a dress, but after going from store to store I knew
that I will never find something I liked.
So I started my research.

I found this picture while browsing - I know the picture is taken at a wedding fair.
I liked it, but the skirt was a little too puffy, it showed too much skin
and it was kinda modern for me :)

So, I tried to find a solution that worked for me.
And I did.
I found this blouse at Zara and I just loved the lace details of it -
so the inspiration came along :)
I asked the seamstress to make the blouse tighter and to make me
a skirt similar to the one in the first picture, but not that puffy.
And she did :)

This is my own result :)
As a personal touch I'll have a cameo pin at my neck :)
How do you like it? :)

There you have it: my lovely wedding dress :)

Feeling blue

Not just blue, but also a little orange :)
I love these colours together.
Along with the dotted scarf and the doll shoes :) they make
a perfect colour blocking outfit.

My civil ceremony dress - the making of

My civil ceremony dress is ready :) and I'm very happy with the outcome.
I'm gonna be a 50s queen :)
I think I've told you before that I would have loved to be born in that era.
One thing is for sure: my dress is unique because is my idea combined from a few other images :)
We'll see if there will be any copycats afterwards :)
Google images helped me a lot :) but I'm sorry that I didn't save the source of the images
that got me inspired.
As you can see I went for the green :) combined with nude.

Enjoy the photos:

This is the dress, the bag and the shoes I'll be wearing:
And the gloves :) - they're a must
Gloves and bag are vintage :)

The actual shade of green is in the picture below:

While it was still a work in progress:

This is the first picture I came across when I searched Google images for inspiration
and I just loved these lovely ladies.
What I kept from this one is the puffiness :) of the skirt and the belt made out of material.
But I made my belt having a bow, cause I love them bows :)

From this one I kept the collar and something from the sleeves - check out this look here

This one helped me because of the buttons:
mine are smaller and displayed closer to the collar

As for the skirt I took something from a skirt I already have and you've already seen here :)
this is how I came up with the waist line of the skirt

If you want to see me wearing it, you have to keep following my blog :)
I can assure you that you won't be disappointed :)

The return of the dots

You can never have too many dots, I'm sure of that :)
And of course you can never go wrong with a delicate lace top combined with the dots.
What you don't know is that this skirt is made by me :) last year during a sewing course.
This is actually my second skirt ever made. I haven't shown you the first one I made
but I'll do that in the posts to come.
I also had an admirer while I was taking these pictures :)
You'll see :)

Enjoy the photos:

Old school style - anniversary post

This is my 100th post and I'm very happy to write it :)
Being anniversary and all that, I chose to wear a classy outfit with some vintage elements,
which better represent the vintage side of my blog.
I hope you enjoyed my posts so far and I promise to keep sharing with you my outfit ideas :)
and also my home decor and DIY projects.
Given the fact that I'm getting married this summer, I'm very happy to tell you
that there will be a few posts with my wedding dresses and other cute wedding related stuff :)
So be prepared for some cuteness :)
The wedding dress is not green :) - I've been asked that :)
But the one for civil ceremony is very green :)

Till then, enjoy this lovely outfit. Besides the lovely dots, I must say that I am
in love with the pants. They don't make them like this anymore and I was very happy
to find them at an online vintage store which I highly recommend: The Dearhunters
